International Orders
Our Procedure. Once your order is placed, you will receive an email with our international polices that are outlined in this section. The faster you respond to that email, the faster we can begin working on your order. Upon receiving confirmation that you have read our policies, we will have your order packed, determine the cheapest shipping prices available and then email you with your shipping options.
Payment Options: We are unable to process credit cards from banks outside of the United States unless you are in Canada, United Kingdom or Australia. We can accept wire transfers or money orders from all other countries sent to us as long as they are in U.S. dollars. The payment method that is most convenient is Paypal. A lot of our international customers prefer Paypal as their method of payment because it is fast, easy, and also inexpensive. Setting up your account is free and sending payment is instant. Please visit www.paypal.com for more information.
Shipping Methods: Most international orders will be shipped through U.S. First Class International If under 4 pounds (or 2 kilos), U.S. Priority Mail International or U.S. Express Mail International. For shipments to Canada, we do offer UPS as well.
If you already have a freight forwarding company here in the U.S., we can ship directly to them for a much cheaper cost. If you are interested to learn more about freight forwarding, please check out www.myus.com.
Customs, Duties and Taxes: When ordering from Africa Imports, you as the customer are the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country the package will be shipping to. You are responsible for making sure that the product/quantities are permitted into your country. Customs policies can vary from country to country. You can contact your local customs office for further information if you are not sure of any guidelines they might have.
Any customs clearance procedures that may be required can cause delays beyond the delivery time quoted by Africa Imports or the shipping company.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and fees passed on by your country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they will be. You may be subject to these fees, which are billed once a shipment reaches your country.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us via email or phone.
